What this site covers

Caravanist tracks caravans, motorhomes and campervans available in Australia. We publish:

Detailed model pages with length, weights (tare / ATM / ball / GVM), berths, layout, suspension and self-sufficiency specs for every rig we cover
In-depth reviews with build, layout, off-road and value sub-scores
News on launches, recalls, show announcements, manufacturer changes and policy
Long-form buyer guides covering tow vehicle matching, off-grid setups, towing safety and maintenance

Where our information comes from

For specifications and pricing, we work from primary sources:

Manufacturer Australian websites and product brochures
The Caravan Industry Association of Australia (CIAA) and the RVMAP accreditation register
ACCC product safety recall notices
State transport authority weight and licensing rules

For driving and living impressions in reviews, we synthesise from at least three named third-party Australian publications (e.g. GoRV, Caravan World, Without A Hitch, Practical Motorhome, Trade RVs Magazine). Where reviewers disagree, we say so. Every review cites the publications it draws from.

News articles cite the original primary source with an outbound link so you can verify the facts yourself. We do not paraphrase or rewrite analysis from other publications — we use them for facts and, in reviews, for the consensus on driving/living experience.

Accuracy and corrections

We do our best to keep prices and specifications up to date, but the caravan market moves fast and manufacturers change pricing and trim levels without notice. Always confirm pricing, weights and specs with the manufacturer before purchase.

We have no commercial relationships with any caravan, motorhome or campervan manufacturer. We do not receive press loans, paid trips or sponsored content. Reviews aggregate driving and living impressions from named third-party Australian publications and frame our own analysis, recommendations and verdicts on top of that — we are transparent about exactly which reviewers we draw from on every review.
