Pop-top caravan · Compact

Avan Aspire 555 (2026)

From $69,850

One of the lightest ensuite caravans on the Australian market. The Aspire 555 packs an island queen bed, separate shower and toilet, 170 L three-way fridge and café dinette into a 5.36 m single-axle pop-top with a 1,480 kg tare. ATM of 1,880 kg means it's legally towable behind a wide range of mid-size SUVs and dual-cab utes — not just heavy 4WDs. Hardtop variant also available.

What we like

  • 1,480 kg tare — one of the lightest internal-ensuite caravans on the market
  • 1,880 kg ATM keeps the tow-vehicle pool wide (mid-size SUVs and dual-cabs)
  • Single-axle simplicity and easy reversibility
  • Pop-top design parks under most carports and reduces tow drag

What we don't

  • Couples-only layout — no family configuration in this size
  • Single-axle limits payload capacity (400 kg)
  • Entry-level off-grid spec (200 W solar, AGM battery as standard)
  • Avan's dealer network is thinner than Jayco or New Age outside metro areas
