Crusader Excalibur Orion (MY26) (2026)

From $123,990

Crusader's mid-size couples tourer. The MY26 Excalibur range gets a 40 mm composite roof and CrusadAir airbag suspension as standard. The Orion is the 20-foot entry point in the range — island bed, side ensuite, club lounge. A generous 759 kg payload at 3,500 kg ATM gives real touring headroom for water, gas and gear without pushing the legal limit. Two larger siblings (Serenity 22 ft, Duke 21 ft) extend the range upward.

What we like

  • 759 kg payload headroom at 3,500 kg ATM — generous for a 20-foot van
  • CrusadAir airbag suspension standard from MY26 (adjustable ride height)
  • 40 mm composite roof for thermal performance and durability
  • Sub-2,800 kg tare keeps it towable behind mid-size 4WDs

What we don't

  • Semi-offroad rating — not for hardcore corrugations or remote-area touring
  • Crusader's dealer network is mid-tier (smaller than Jayco/New Age outside major metros)
  • No published off-grid spec — battery and solar packages vary by build
  • Image on this page is the sibling MY26 Excalibur Serenity (22-foot) — the Orion is visually similar but ~2 ft shorter
