Trakka Akuna A2M (2026)
From $205,300
Trakka's MY25/26 Akuna A2M is a premium campervan conversion on the Volkswagen Crafter mid-wheelbase — 5.99 m long, car-licence GVM, twin north–south singles that convert to a large double, and an internal combination shower/toilet. The MY25 refresh brought 5,120 Wh of lithium (≈400 Ah), 400 W of solar, and induction cooking with a convection oven, plus the Crafter's 130 kW twin-turbo diesel and 8-speed auto. An AWD 4Motion variant extends the range for unsealed touring.
What we like
- ✓ Genuine 6-metre campervan that parks in a standard space and stays on a car licence
- ✓ 5,120 Wh lithium plus induction cooking — gas-free galley in stock spec
- ✓ Internal shower/toilet is rare at this body length
- ✓ Trakka build quality and Sydney factory backup
What we don't
- ✕ Over $205k — deep premium territory for a two-berth van
- ✕ 650 kg payload shrinks quickly with two people, water and touring gear
- ✕ On-road 2WD in standard form — the 4Motion AWD variant costs ~$7,700 more
- ✕ VW Crafter service network is thinner than HiAce/Sprinter in remote areas
